MechaSplice® Mechanical Tension Repair Splices (MTRS)

Add to List
The Mechanical Tension Repair Splice MechaSplice® Series is an industry-leading mechanical tension repair splice designed for medium-voltage (MV) applications. Engineered for slack or tensioned, bare or covered cables, this advanced splice solution ensures a reliable, corrosion-resistant connection without the need for extra tools or complex installations.
Built to comply with AS/NZ 1154.1, ANSI C119, and IEC 61284, C119.4 standards, the MTRS Series provides superior range-taking ability and high-strength performance, rated up to 10,000 lbs. Featuring double shear head bolts, this design eliminates direct bolt-to-conductor contact, preserving the integrity of the cable and removing the risk of damage.
The wave-patterned distension increases friction significantly, securing a firm grip for long-term durability. With its easy, tool-free installation using standard line truck tools, the MTRS Series reduces human error and streamlines the repair process for right-of-way (ROW) applications, overhead, water crossings, railways, storm repairs, pole replacements, and cutouts.
